Passionfruit
Organic Bhutanese Passionfruit
Passionfruit refers to a tropical fruit that grows on a climbing vine with tendrils. They are burgundy red to purple in colour and have a thick, slightly wrinkled, soft skin. The pulp is yellow with many shiny brown or black seeds and offers an extremely sweet flavour with mild acidity. Passionfruit may be sliced open and eaten raw when ripe. It makes a delicious addition to salads, yogurt, desserts and sauces. It's a good source of dietary fibre, a good source of vitamin C and contains some vitamin B3.
